Costilla creek rises in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of southern Colorado, and receives waters from its tributary Comanche Creek at the north end of Valle Vidal, eventually flowing into the Rio Grande River in New Mexico.  It's crystal clear waters are popular with anglers, offering rainbow trout, brown trout, and cutthroat trout.
